Description/Eligibility/Service Details
Description Ontario Works is financial assistance from the Province of Ontario, sometimes also known as social assistance. Eligibility depends on your household income, what you own, and the number of people in your family. Only one application is needed per family. 
 
The Ontario Works provide: 
•Employment Support 
•Get help paying for funeral arrangements 
•Get help paying for past-due bills or rent 
•Help for people with disabilities 
•Apply for discounted monthly bus pass 
•Apply for a rebate on your property taxes 
•Services for employers
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Eligibility •live in Ontario •be 18 years of age or older • willing to do activities that will help you get a job •need money right away to help pay for food and housing costs, and •be willing to take part in activities that will help you find a job
