Description/Eligibility/Service Details
| Description | Deliver free hot meals to the homes of those who cannot cook due to complex medical issues. South Asian(Punjabi) vegetarian hot meals for those who are very weak and chronically ill or elderly and unable to cook. Meal delivery: Volunteers will deliver meals to your door every Sunday * Upto 5 cooked meals once a week to supplement your current diet * The meal is vegetarian and consists of: Roti, dal, sabzi * Meals are tasty, wholesome and nutritious. They are mildly spiced to satisfy the palette Friendly visits: Volunteers will also visit you to chat with you, play card games, read the newspaper or books for you, watch television with you and engage you with recreational activities as part of our friendly visiting program Telephone reassurance: Clients who are feeling lonesome or want reassurance from time to time call our telephone line. |
