| Description | Offers a wide range of employment & training programs: Job Search Workshops for Newcomers </b> - employment program for newcomers provides job search assistance at no charge * on completion of full workshop participants will receive a Certificate of Participation * all services offered free of charge * also available occasional child care facility Employment Support Services - provides one-on-one employment counselling * includes critique and advice on resumes, cover letters, references and other job search documents, interview and network techniques * assists job seekers individually in short micro-sessions arranged by appointment The Mentoring Partnership Program </b> for Internationally Trained Professionals. For more information, about Mentoring Partnership Program, kindly visit our website www. www.mentoringpartnership.ca. The Mentoring Partnership program is geared towards the skilled immigrant. This program matches unemployed newcomers (less than 5 years in Canada) who are Internationally Trained Professionals (Mentees) with an employed Canadian counterpart (Mentors) in the same occupation, based on shared educational background, similar work experience and common career goals. Duration of the match is up to 18 hours over a three-month period Food Handling Training Program </b>- Assists Job Seekers learn about safe Food Handling including sanitation, types of food related hazards, hygiene and food handling practices & regulations. It also assists with preparing for Food Handler Certification Exam, which is valid for up to 5 years. Job Search support in finding employment in food and hospitality sector. Entrepreneurship Program </b>- Assists participants who are interested in taking the first steps in Starting a Business. It helps support in Business Planning, Goal Setting, Marketing, Financial Resources and other supports available for Small Businesses. Digital Literacy & 1-1 Support </b> – Provides job seekers with 1-1 digital support on Computer Basics, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Internet, Email and much more. Group Sessions on Employment Rights & Standards, Digital Footprint, Fraud Prevention and Personal Branding are also available.
